Spam Expert Says Avoidance, Not Filtering
Is Key To Junk Email Reduction
PITTSBURGH, June 12
/PRNewswire/ -- Spam Slicer LLC (http://www.spamslicer.com),
a junk mail reduction company, believes that people who rely
on spam filters to fix their spam problems are waiting too
long to attack the problem and creating more problems for themselves
later on.
To help combat the
growing problems of spam - Spam Slicer has released Spam Slicer
Home Edition, a service that helps users avoid getting on spam
lists and to identify how spammers got their names in the first
place, avoiding much of the problem before it begins.
"The idea really
developed from conversations that I've had with computer users
via my radio shows and newspaper column," says David Radin,
inventor of Spam Slicer. "This real world data gave me
insights to invent a technique that is easy to set up and use
- and works on almost all ISP accounts, including AOL, and
most web-based services."
Spam Slicer combines
proprietary patent-pending technology with commonly used methods
to create an environment that is less spam ridden for the end
user - and more costly for the heavy spammer to target. So
Spam Slicer doesn't fall prey to the usual problems that plague
typical spam solutions.
"I've had such
a decrease in spam, it's unreal!" says Gerry Sonoskey,
a Spam Slicer user. "Now every piece of mail I get is
something I want to read."
Spam Slicer provides
each user with a virtual email ID, which can be combined with
identifying phrases. With this ID, the user can tell where
the spammer got his name -- and can block all subsequent spam
from that source -- even if the spammer changes his email address
or sells the name again. In addition, Spam Slicer can be quickly
set up to work with the user's ISP or e-mail software to block
unsolicited mail targeted at his existing email inbox.
Spam Slicer Home Edition is available for $19.99 annually. The Family Pack
is $29.99. Annual fee includes spam reduction enhancements as they become available.
